The New and Improved Room Dividers Appeal to Everyone

I can remember back in the day visiting a friend who had several siblings. Though the house was quite large, they were still not equipped for each child to have their own bedroom. As such they used bookcases to divide the rooms up in order for each kid to have a modicum of privacy. This was not a financially inept family, but in those days the shelving available was less inventive than it is today. Thus, Margaret and Deanas room always looked cluttered and uninviting.

Now, as I work with my sister in law to create accommodations for her five kids, I take great pleasure in gathering the information on various new room divider products. When kids are involved there is a lot of gratuitous input of the adolescent kind. Home organisation is not as high a priority as a complete and total barrier.

The first project set forth is that of the boys room. It has taken some convincing, but my nephews Jake and Jude, who are twin 13 year olds, have conceded to a see through cabinet system that is designed in a maze like pattern. It will be floor to ceiling, and the clincher is that they are allowed to decorate the compartments with all the model cars and airplanes that they have completed. With a theme in place, and a sturdy, well-defined divider, their room should only be remembered for its successful appearance.
