Raiding Shopping Centres
People often find shopping to be therapeutic. Those who are addicted to shopping spend many hours at malls to look for the best item to buy but once they had bought it, they often find it unappealing. They may even wonder why they had bought it in the first place. Such strange behavior sometimes astounds them but psychologists have a ready explanation for that behavior. Shopping is an addiction, and just like any addiction, it gives the shopper a feeling of being high and then followed by a low.
Shopping malls, street stalls, strips and side markets are the usual places when looking for some particular item. Shopping in malls can be an exciting and fun activity, too. Malls have so many stores inside them that one can literally spend a whole day and not finish window shopping at all. This is true in giant malls where hundreds of stores display a wide range of items. Consumer goods such as toys, cell phones, television sets, video game consoles and DVD players are just a few of these items. Other merchandise include grocery items, clothing, pets, shoes, fast food products, and many, many more. It is often a difficult task to inhibit oneself from buying all these things as they are very temptingly shown on displays. It is better not to bring too much when going window shopping so that impulse buying can be avoided. Leave the plastic cards at home too, just in case.
